The former courtroom, now the communal kitchen and event space is at the heart of the building and gives it a real character. The team are so friendly and engaged and they clearly care about the businesses there. It’s rare to find a workspace that combines such a strong sense of character with such a welcoming atmosphere, but this workspace manages to do both effortlessly”
Some office buildings have character; Holborn Town Hall has history. Set within a beautifully restored Grade II listed former town hall and public library, this is one of the most distinctive workspaces in Midtown. Just moments from Holborn station, the building retains much of its civic heritage, from the grand marble entrance hall and stained-glass windows to the memorial boards and original heraldry that give the space a genuine sense of place.
The former courtroom has been reimagined as the communal heart of the building, serving as a kitchen, coworking hub and event space. It’s a setting unlike anything you’ll find in a typical serviced office. Workspace options range from coworking desks to private offices and larger suites, with some benefiting from features such as private kitchens, balconies or mezzanine levels.
Practical amenities are equally well considered. There are three meeting rooms accommodating up to 14 people, secure basement bike storage with tools and air pumps, showers with towel service, and one of the most thoughtfully equipped vanity rooms I’ve come across, complete with toiletries, hairdryers and straighteners.
Complimentary breakfast and snacks are available each day, but it’s the team that leave the strongest impression. Friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely invested in the businesses they support, they create an atmosphere that feels welcoming without ever losing its professionalism. Regular networking events, seasonal socials and a dog-friendly policy for private offices, and it’s easy to see why such a strong community has developed here.
