Islington opened in late 2024, bringing the tradestars model to North London on North Road. The building was once the headquarters for fashion designer Alexander McQueen and is a well-lit environment for small businesses and creative brands that want flexible space close to central London without central London rents.
Studios come in sizes from 100 to 1,000 plus sq ft on short-term contracts. Each is an open-plan unit ready to move into, with wifi, heating and power in place. Residents use them as offices, storage, content studios or a combination. The Islington site has the same community infrastructure as Hackney Wick, including photography and podcast studios, meeting rooms, phone booths, a cafe and lounge, and a reception team that manages deliveries and day-to-day queries.
