34 Brook Street

34 Brook Street occupies an Edwardian red-brick building in the heart of Mayfair, built in 1906 as the Symonds Hotel to a design by J.E. Trollope and now run by Flex by Grosvenor. The conversion leans into the building's character rather than flattening it, with bold tapestries, abstract art and interiors that feel considered and full of energy. A high-end refurbishment makes clever use of the original features, and offices are bright and well-lit across the floors, with retail at street level.

In keeping with other Grosvenor sites, there is no formal reception desk: an intercom greets visitors and sends them up a grand staircase, or by lift, to the concierge on the third floor, where the welcome is quick and warm and guests are offered a drink on arrival. Weekly breakfasts, Thursday and Friday drinks and a wider community programme give the building a genuine buzz, and the third-floor lounge doubles as the venue for events.

Offices are adapted to each occupier, with breakout spaces, quiet corners and, on some floors, private bars built in. They come with Grosvenor-standard furniture and standing desks, on a neutral palette that can be customised extensively, with branding through door signage. Three meeting rooms, a boardroom for eight and two rooms for four, carry AV and Polycom conferencing, with catering arranged by the concierge from local Mayfair suppliers, and phone pods cover private calls.

Communal kitchens serve Grind coffee, herbal teas, alternative milks, filtered and sparkling water and complimentary fruit, and washrooms run to Jo Loves products, showers, changing and towel service. Bike storage with a maintenance kit sits in the sister building on Grosvenor Street. Bond Street Underground is two minutes away, with Mount Street's restaurants, South Molton Street's boutiques and Grosvenor Square all close by.
